I have succeeded in meeting the challenge I had given myself last year, which was: drawing every day for 365 consecutive days. It has been a wild ride and I gave myself a well earned break since the beginning of January.
Through the year, I tried to draw as much different things with as much medias possible. These were mostly studies, where I would use photo references or real life references to sharpen my vision and to try and focus on understanding structure, texture, light / shadow, etc … I think it worked to a certain extent and I think I did became better.
Although, the main reason I undertook this challenge was to fight my own tendency to procrastinate. I think it is a huge problem for a lot of artists. Some of you people are lucky enough not to feel that indescribable urge to do everything else than what they know they should be doing. But I think it is a common problem. And we can get better and eventually vainquish! I will need to work on this personality trait further, but I might have won a huge battle and am so happy and proud. But this never-ending war is not over, and I will keep on drawing.
I have bigger projects in the making and, hopefully, some work-in-progress posts will begin to pop-up soon. And then some finished pieces too. Keep watching!I would like to thank every Deviants who favourited my work and added me to their watch.
At some point, I couldn’t answer to everybody anymore. To be honest, I often had some really short nights and simply couldn’t keep up on a lot of stuff, including social medias.
Talking about social medias, we very well know that DeviantArt is the best community of artists out there, but if you’re into other popular ones, feel free to add or follow me:Facebookfacebook.com/pierrelucfauberta…Instagraminstagram.com/plfaubertTumblrpierrelucfaubert.tumblr.com/Twittertwitter.com/plfaubert
